Priming the Gorge - Day Two - Dysart Iowa
Another small but sturdy crew showed up today in 80+ heat and blazing sunshine to help put the primer coat on the Gorge.
We applied 35 gallons of primer in just over 4 hours. By 4:00 we were seeing dark clouds and feeling drops.
I popped back into town just before 5:00 to pick up a gluten-free pizza at LB's and the rain was torrential. I drove around and didn't see any paint washing away so we are all set for Monday. That is when 30 Union High School students in Joleen Darnall Poyner's classes will have a field trip to help paint the Gorge. Stay tuned!
